DIPLOMACY ON THE EDGE OF THE EU

A talk by Michael Roberts, British Ambassador to Slovakia 2007-10

Previous British Ambassadors in Bratislava have given lively and informative accounts of their time in Slovakia to the BCSA, and Michael Roberts has promised to continue in what has almost become a tradition. Before becoming Ambassador he served for several years in Turkey, giving him an unusual perspective from which to view developments in Slovakia in what were undoubtedly “interesting” times. He will review the country’s achievements as well as highlighting issues still requiring attention.
