Bratislava, December 4 (TASR) - Representatives of non-parliamentary parties Liga-OLS and European Democratic Party (EDS) have opted to merge and will enter the 2010 Parliamentary Elections as a single entity, Liga-OLS Chairman Robert Nemcsisc announced at a joint press conference on Friday.
"We've decided for a complete merger ... the forming of a single party that would pursue mutual goals," said Nemcsisc (former economy minister 2002-2003). The name of the party should be decided by February 2010. "Our goal is clear and our stances distinctly formulated; we have a clear pro-business vision that should win and dominate in politics," said Nemcsisc.
EDS Vice-chair Pavol Hudec added that both parties share the same goal and the persons or posts are not important at this time.
