UNAS Filing Complaint With General Prosecutor's Office

Bratislava, May 4 (TASR) - Association of hauliers UNAS filed a complaint with the General Prosecutor's Office over a suspicion of crime on Tuesday, due to imperfections that the new road-toll system contains despite being in operation for 120 days.

"This complaint was filed over the suspicion of fraud, unjust enrichment, distortion of economic data and harming of consumers," UNAS Chairman Jaroslav Polacek said at a press conference on the same day.

UNAS sees problem in unsystematic or even random charging of invoices for distances travelled as well as the duty of hauliers to pay for travelling the roads within villages, which shouldn't be subject to road toll. Furthermore, some tolled sections are longer than the Transport Ministry officially claims.
