Only One Company From Eastern Slovakia Among Top-ten Employers

Spisska Nova Ves, April 26 (TASR) - Only one company from Eastern Slovakia - compressor producer Embraco Slovakia from Spisska Nova Ves (Kosice region) - managed to get among the ten best employers in Slovakia in a 'Best Employers' study carried out by human relations consultancy Hewitt Associated in 2009-10.
Katarina Simkova from Communication House told TASR that more than 40 companies entered the contest, and the jury was able to assess the motivation of employees and their relations with the employer. It was also an assessment of salaries, benefits, powers, education opportunities, means of credit and informal appreciation.
Only two large companies in Slovakia - Embraco and insurance company Allianz-Slovenska Poistovna made it onto the list. The rest were mainly small firms. Imperial Tobacco Slovakia in Bratislava finished top.
According to the study, employees working for good employers are happier in their jobs, and can appreciate their professional and personal life better, as they are more motivated at work than other employees in the same sphere.
