Imperial Tobacco Slovakia Wins Best Employer Title

Bratislava April 22 (TASR) - Joint-stock company Imperial Tobacco Slovakia, a distributor of tobacco products, has been reported as the best employer in Slovakia for 2009/2010, according to a study published by the global HR consulting and outsourcing firm Hewitt Associates.
The latest results, announced in Bratislava on Thursday, show the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca AB in second place, and Microsoft Slovakia ended up third spot. A total of 46 companies from various industries registered for this year's competition.
According to the study's project manager Eugenia Sochorovska, it's neither the size of the company, nor its brand and publicity glitz that decide on the winner. Rather, what matters are factors like motivation of employees and how the mindsets of management and staff meld.
