Seagle Air Follows Trend in Industry and Files for Bankruptcy

Bratislava, April 21 (TASR) - Financially struggling airline, Seagle Air, based in Banska Bystrica, had been put under bankruptcy at its own request, a local court announced later on Wednesday.
The district court in Banska Bystrica appointed Vladimir Vanko as bankruptcy administrator and has called on lenders to claim the repayment of owed sums.
Seagle Air filed for bankruptcy protection after being confronted by a multitude of problems, including a class action suit initiated by its staffers over €2.5 million in back wages, and suspension of charter flights due to the lack of finance in late October - after a business partner, Skyone Italian Airlines, reneged on an agreement to use Seagle's aircraft.
