Gasparovic and Fico Attending Funeral of Polish Presidental Couple

Bratislava, April 18 (TASR) - Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic and Prime Minister Robert Fico on Sunday left for the Polish city of Krakow to attend thr funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria Kaczynska and 94 senior Polish officials killed in an airplane crash in Russia on Saturday April 10, TASR learnt on Sunday.
"The President left for Krakow by car from Tatranska Javorina (Presov region), where he spent the night in Lovecky Zamocek, which is an accommodation facility of the President's Office," Gasparovic's spokesman Marek Trubac told TASR.
Fico's spokesperson Silvia Glendova confirmed for TASR earlier Sunday that Fico's car had arrived in Poland, with his arrival in Krakow planned for 1:30 p.m.
