Survey: 40 Percent of Slovaks Plan to Buy Car Within Two Years

Bratislava, April 15 (TASR) - Four out of ten Slovaks plan to buy a car within the next two years, and they will be deciding primarily on price. Quality, low break-down rate and fuel economy of the car comes only after.

This is according to the latest GfK Slovakia survey, carried out in February and featuring 509 respondents.

Slovaks also largely rely on their personal experience and recommendations of people they know. Every third customer makes his or her decision on what car to buy based on suggestions or opinions of friends, reveals the survey. Around 20 percent of potential customers demand good-quality car service provided, saying this is an important factor that has to be taken into account when buying a car.

On the other hand, car brands and car equipment play a less important role. Only one out of ten Slovaks makes decisions with this in mind.
