Bratislava, December 1 (TASR) - Tuesday's Coalition Council session will not be attended by the leaders of two strongest coalition parties - Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and Slovak National Party (SNS) chair Jan Slota - due to health reasons.
Smer-SD spokesperson Katarina Klizanova-Rysova told TASR that the premier is ill, is undergoing treatment, and has been forced to officially cancel his working programme. Health-related issues are allegedly also behind Slota's absence.
The strongest coalition party (Smer-SD) will be represented by Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Paska, Interior Minister Robert Kalinak and Culture Minister Marek Madaric. For SNS, the meeting will be attended by party caucus leader Rafael Rafaj, vice-chair Anna Belousovova and Construction Minister Igor Stefanov. The only party leader present will be LS-HZDS chairman Vladimir Meciar, accompanied by party vice-chairman Peter Sika and national executive chairman Marian Klenko.
The session will deal mainly with the upcoming parliamentary session, which is scheduled to begin in the afternoon.
