Bratislava, April 6 (TASR) - Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will take part in U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Prague on Thursday, Fico's spokesperson Silvia Glendova told TASR on Tuesday.
Obama, who is due to arrive in Prague on Thursday morning, has invited top representatives from 11 Central and Eastern European countries that are the U.S.A.'s allies within NATO. The dinner will be held shortly after Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sign a new treaty to cut nuclear arms.
Apart from Slovakia, the countries concerned are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia.
Obama is set to meet the leaders in order "to recognise their contribution and discuss topics that are specific to Central and Eastern Europe, and how the region can continue to contribute not just to European but also to global security," said the White House.
