Bratislava, April 2 (TASR) - For Christians of the Evangelical denomination, Good Friday is a great and important holiday, which provides a vivid picture of the peak of the suffering of Jesus - his torture, crucifixion and the death at Calvary, general bishop of the Evangelical Church in Slovakia (ECAV) Milos Klatik has told TASR.
According to Klatik, Jesus's statement that "the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many," came true.
"Easter Sunday and Easter Monday are important Christian holidays marking Jesus Christ's resurrection, his victory over the Devil and death. It's a victory of God's love, power, life, God's justice, which means hope and strength for life now and in eternity for every Christian," said Klatik, adding that Christ's resurrection and its impact are as relevant today as they were 2,000 years ago.
