Astana, March 30 (TASR) - Kazakhstan plans to establish a special trade representative office in Europe. "We stand ready to lay the groundwork for establishing such an office in Bratislava, if there's an interest," Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic said after meeting his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana on Tuesday.
Gasparovic argued for Slovakia's capital because of the convenient location in the heart of Europe. From Bratislava, Austria's metropolis Vienna is an hour away by car, with Budapest and Warsaw being also a short hop away.
"Having the representation in Bratislava would be mutually beneficial for both parties," said Gasparovic.
