Sezimovo Usti, March 30 (TASR) - Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and his Czech opposite number Jan Fischer are currently holding talks on bilateral ties and the EU agenda in the southern Czech town of Sezimovo Usti, TASR was told on Tuesday.
The two officials met up in a villa that served as a summer residence for former Czechoslovak president Edvard Benes (1935-38, 1940-45 in exile, 1945-48).
The visit is a follow-up visit to the one paid by the Czech premier in mid-May of last year and is in accordance with an arrangement to hold once-a-year bilateral meetings of the Slovak and Czech heads of government.
Later in the day, the two officials will pay homage to former president Benes, who died in the villa and was buried nearby. The meeting will be rounded off by a joint press conference.
