Jakarta, March 30 (TASR) - Slovakia and Indonesia on Monday signed an agreement concerning co-operation in the areas of science, education, culture, sports and youth, along with another on a visa-free regime applying to holders of diplomatic and other service passports, spokesman for the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry Peter Stano told TASR late on Monday.
Both documents were signed by Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak and his Indonesian opposite number Marty Natalegawa during the former's visit to Jakarta.
"I believe that this will contribute towards bringing our countries closer together and to creating conditions for enhancing co-operation," said the Slovak official.
Both ministers expressed interest in deepening bilateral co-operation, singling out energy, construction and agriculture as the most promising spheres.
"Given that we have embassies in each other's capitals, good preconditions exist for joint activities," said Lajcak, pointing to traditionally warm relations between Slovakia and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Natalegawa noted that Slovakia's successful transformation is a source of inspiration for Indonesia.
