European Commission Sends First Results of Social Enterprises' Audit

Bratislava, March 16 (TASR) - The European Commission has sent the first results of its December's audit of social enterprises to the Labour, Social Affairs and Family Ministry on Tuesday, though the findings are not being made public at this time.
The audit inspected the efficiency of the eurofunds' drawing vis-a-vis a number of projects under Employment and Social Inclusion Operational Programme, which also includes the social enterprises.
"This so-called draft ... is for professional discussion between the Commission and Slovak institutions only. It deals with issues that might not be included within the final inspection report," says the Labour Ministry in a written statement.
The European Commission will issue a final report with recommendations only after the Ministry gives comment on the draft. "Of course, the Ministry will publish and comment on the audit information at that time," the statement read.
