Bratislava, March 15 (TASR) - SWWE Company plans to build two wind power plant complexes worth €389 million near the villages Babin and Hrustin, according to the investment plan SWWE has submitted for environmental impact assessment (EIA).
The company will invest €239.4 million in the project Polana, and €149.6 million in the project Babinska Hola (Zilina region). Once set in operation, the two projects will create four or five jobs for experts.
The Polana project will consist of eight wind power plants, with construction set to begin in late 2011 and to be completed by 2Q12. Construction works on the Babinska Hola project, featuring five wind power plants, will begin in 4Q11 and are expected to be finished by 3Q12. The lifetime of the power plants is estimated to be about 25-30 years.
"The location in question has been chosen for its favourable wind conditions and developed infrastructure. Furthermore, there are no protected areas in the vicinity. The village of Babin has issued a preliminary approval for the project," says the investment plan.
SWWE company has been filed into the Business Register in December 2008. It runs the business of the Housing Fund administration (under the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development) and maintenance, real estate rental and mediation activity in trade field.
