Representatives of Israeli Travel Agencies to Tour Slovakia

Bratislava, March 12 (TASR) - Twenty representatives of Israeli travel agencies are to begin an eight-day visit to Slovakia on Saturday in which they plan to see cultural sights, ski resorts and spas in several Slovak regions, spokesperson of the Slovak Tourism Agency (SACR) Zuzana Nemcova told TASR on Friday.

"Israeli tour operators have decided on a challenging programme across Slovakia. For example, they have chosen to visit the Slovak Health Spa Piestany (Trnava region); in Bratislava they want to see more closely the city's historical centre and the memorial of the famous Bratislava rabbi Chatam Sofer," said Nemcova.

The Israeli guests will also visit Banska Bystrica, Kosice, Levoca (Presov region), and one of the largest synagogues in Slovakia in Liptovsky Mikulas (Zilina region). Moreover, the Israeli tour operators are to see a presentation of tourism opportunities in the traditional regions of Orava, Turiec and Liptov (all currently part of Zilina region), and visit ski resorts in Mala Fatra, and Low and High Tatra mountains.
