Bratislava, March 11 (TASR) - The national presidium of the Slovak National Party (SNS) on Thursday approved the 150-member party slate for the general election set for June 12, SNS chairman Jan Slota announced at a press conference on the same day.
"These are the candidates who should pull up the entire list, which contains 150 names," said Slota in reference to himself, SNS first deputy chair Anna Belousovova, Education Minister Jan Mikolaj, MP Rudolf Pucik, Transport Ministry State Secretary Dusan Svantner, MP Stefan Zelnik, SNS caucus leader Rafael Rafaj, newly-dismissed construction minister Igor Stefanov, MP Ivan Sasko and MP Jan Slaby.
"I'm convinced that we'll succeed at least to that extent as four years ago (SNS scored 11.73 percent - ed. note)," said Slota.
Belousovova announced that the SNS slate will also feature independent candidates, such as former member of the erstwhile Czechoslovak national ice-hockey team Vincent Lukac, European football champion from 1976 Jozef Capkovic and former race car driver Dodo Studenic.
