AZEN to Release List of Candidates and Platforms on Friday

Bratislava, March 9 (TASR) - The new Alliance for the Europe of Nations party said on Tuesday it would release its entire list of candidates for the June 12 parliamentary election as well as election programme this coming Friday, adding that the top two spots are taken by Chairman Milan Urbani and Deputy Chair Zdenka Kramplova.
A third will be an unnamed entrepreneur and a fourth, a member of the Roma Initiative of Slovakia (RIS), which has agreed to work with AZEN in the election campaign. Other RIS members will be among the 10-20 listed candidates, Urbani told reporters.
The slate will further feature Serbians, Croatians, Ruthenians, Hungarians and many other nationalities, according to Urbani.
AZEN is the first political party not afraid of putting Roma on its list of candidates, said Kramplova, who shares Urbani's view that cooperation with Roma as well as with other minorities is essential in order to better deal with their problems.
