Csaky: SMK Aims for Nine Percent of Votes in General Election

Bratislava, March 6 (TASR) - Ethnic-Hungarian SMK party aims to receive at least nine percent of votes in the general election due in June, SMK head Pal Csaky told a press conference following a session of the party's country-wide council on Saturday.
The council has also adopted the party's election programme, with the programe to embrace five or six new topics, said Csaky. "They will be included within the next two weeks. The programme will be available in the Slovak, Hungarian and English languages. All visitors to our website will be able to choose the language," said Csaky.
The party is planning to spend €800,000 on the campaign. A total of €332,000 will come from a loan, while the remainder will be covered by money that SMK received from the state for the party's result in the 2006 parliamentary election.
