Cordoba/Bratislava, March 5 (TASR) - Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak is representing Slovakia at an informal meeting of EU foreign affairs ministers in the Spanish city of Cordoba on Friday at which the Middle East, Western Balkans and the EU's further enlargement are being discussed, the Slovak ministry's spokesman Peter Stano told TASR on the same day.
At the meeting, Lajcak will update his European partners on talks that he held earlier this week with representatives of Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The gathering of EU ministers is also set to address new tools within the bloc's common foreign and security policy.
The meeting, also called Gymnich, owes its name to a German castle at which the first such meeting was held in 1974. At these sessions, ministers engage in informal talks on international affairs, but don't issue a communique.
