Gasparovic Appoints New Rectors of Two Private Universities

Bratislava, March 4 (TASR) - President Ivan Gasparovic on Thursday appointed two new rectors of Bratislava-based private universities - Marian Karvaj will head St. Elizabeth's University for Healthcare and Social Work, while Samuel Abraham will be the rector of the Bratislava International School of Liberal Studies, Elena Bianchi from the press department of the President's Office told TASR later in the day.
The president congratulated both new rectors on their new posts, which he branded as top posts in the career of a university lecturer.
The ceremony was also attended by Education Minister Jan Mikolaj. The new rectors were appreciative of the trust placed in them and pledged to make sure that the two schools are as successful as possible, and that they ensure the positive representation of Slovakia abroad.
