Bratislava, March 3 (TASR) - The deadline for concluding the financial aspects of the first round of PPP (public-private-partnership) projects aimed at building sections of the D1 motorway will be put back to the end of April 2010, the Government decided on Wednesday.
The Government has given its consent to the introduction of a third addendum to a concession contract originally signed between the Transport, Posts and Telecommunications Ministry and company called Slovenske Dialnice on April 15, 2009. The deadline for concluding financial matters has been postponed a number of times, with the third addendum putting it back to April 30, 2010.
The first PPP project is aimed at drawing up project documentation, carrying out construction work, and financing, operating and maintaining D1 highway sections between Dubna Skala-Ivachnova, (Zilina region) Janovce-Jablonov (Kosice region) and Fricovce-Svinia (Presov region).
