Bratislava, March 2 (TASR) - Chairman of the extra-parliamentary Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party Richard Sulik has held talks with civil activist Alojz Hlina concerning a place for Hlina on SaS's slate for the upcoming general election, but no agreement was reached, Sulik told TASR on Tuesday.
"We've held talks and we've also discussed this issue, but the outcome is that he (Hlina) won't be on our slate," said Sulik, adding that the discussions were held at the time when Hlina was co-organising a rally on Bratislava's SNP Square on January 23 that brought together the leaders of six Opposition parties.
Hundreds of people gathered on the square to take part in 'We Like This Country, We Don't Like This Government' protest. The event was organised by Hlina along with Ondrej Dostal from the non-parliamentary OKS, youth organisations and other activist groups.
SDKU-DS leader Mikulas Dzurinda, KDH chief Jan Figel and ethnic-Hungarian SMK party chairman Pal Csaky also took part in the rally, joined by Dostal, Sulik and Most-Hid chairman Bela Bugar.
