Holic, February 17 (TASR) - The Supreme Audit Office is still looking into the so-called notice-board tender at the Construction and Regional Development Ministry, but minister Igor Stefanov said after the Cabinet session in Holic (Trnava region) on Wednesday that he believes that the results will be good.
"We have delivered certain additional information. It's technical matters," said Stefanov (Slovak National Party/SNS).
"I can't talk about the results, but I'm convinced that they'll be good," said Stefanov.
The Construction and Regional Development Ministry announced a tender for supplying various legal and advertising services co-financed by EU Funds solely on a notice-board located within the ministry's headquarters. The ministry subsequently signed an agreement with the winning bidder - a consortium that included two companies called Zamedia and Avocat and paid out part of the money for the services. It came to light later that both Zamedia and Avocat are close to SNS chairman Jan Slota and that the consortium's bid was extremely expensive. As well, the European Commission halted funding of the project due to how the tender was let.
