Capital City Airport Handles More Than 1.5 Million in 10 Months

Bratislava, November 25 (TASR) - Slovakia's largest airport in Bratislava handled 1,511,831 passengers in the first 10 months of 2009, representing a year-on-year decrease of 467,557, spokesperson Dana Madunicka said on Wednesday.
However, the amount of airborne cargo originating from M.R. Stefanik Airport Bratislava rose during this period by 82 percent to 9,826 tonnes.
Ireland's Ryanair carried 631,890 passengers, now-defunct SkyEurope 377,994 and Seagle Air 235,640.
The most-popular destinations were London, Milan, and Kosice and holiday hubs Antalya (Turkey) and Hurghada (Egypt).
