Halecky: Kramplova Attracted to Smer-SD Rather Than To Urbani's AZEN

Bratislava, February 13 (TASR) - Independent MP (former LS-HZDS) and former agriculture minister Zdenka Kramplova is more attracted to coalition Smer-SD than to the newly-established party called the Alliance for a Europe of Nations (AZEN) of her former party colleague Milan Urbani, who was ousted from the coalition LS-HZDS party in December 2009, LS-HZDS MP Jozef Halecky told TASR on Saturday.
Halecky said this in reaction to the speculations concerning the possibility of Kramplova's joining of AZEN. "I've heard such opinions that she should become a member of AZEN. But me personally, knowing both of my former colleagues, do not think that Kramplova would become a member of Urbani's party. It's also a question of Mrs. Kramplova's ambitions. She rather seems to tend to Smer-SD," said Halecky, who thinks that Urbani is "able to engage people and he is able to win people for his party".
At the same time, Halecky thinks that Urbani will have problems to promote his party. He considers it to be "at least brave" to set-up a new party so shortly before the parliamentary elections (set for June 12, 2010).
"It will be hard, there is a lot of parties, also as far as a programme is concerned, it is not easy to come up with something new...it will all depend on what personalities he will manage to get to his party," said the MP. Halecky thinks it will be all about Urbani's further activities, about the personalities he will be able to win for AZEN as well as the ability to promote the new party in the media. "The future is in his hands," concluded Halecky.
