Bratislava, February 11 (TASR) - The Foreign Affairs Ministry on Thursday issued a recommendation for Slovaks planning to travel to the Middle East in the near future to check the latest information concerning the situation in their intended destinations as provided by the ministry itself or a related representative office in the country concerned.
"We recommend that all those travelling (to the Middle East) should register themselves in advance on a Foreign Affairs Ministry database via a registration form," wrote the ministry press department in a release provided to TASR.
The ministry referred to the parliamentary elections in Iraq in March and subsequent elections in the Palestinian territories, noting that these may contribute to increased risks not only in the areas concerned but also in the broader Middle East.
