Bratislava, February 11 (TASR) - The News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) is introducing a new bonus multi-media product called 'Easy Service' for its clients as of Monday, February 15.
The service will focus on light information suitable for webpages, specialised periodicals, radio stations, weekly and monthly magazines as well as newspaper special supplements.
"With the introduction of the Easy Service, we want to reshape TASR's services and make them clearer, so that they bring the quickest news cleared of all additional topics," said TASR's general director Jaroslav Reznik.
The Easy Service will provide information on health, films, science and technical matters, music, theatre, lifestyle, fashion, travel, hobbies, as well as interesting information on curiosities and records. The new service will include TOP-stories, a historical calendar, a music calendar, name characteristics and other stories, which will be taken out of existing services. One of the service's contributors will be Zdenek Urban, a specialist on news concerning science, technical matters and health. The co-ordinator of the Easy Service will be former Radio FM editor Hana Brozova.
During the trial run until the end of February, the service will include 30 stories per day, along with photos and video-recordings. All of TASR's existing clients will have access to the service.
According to TASR's strategy director Vladimir Puchala, the Easy Service doesn't call for any major investments and won't be financed from public resources. Similar services can be found in the portfolios of AFP, AP, Reuters and Czech agency CTK.
