Bratislava, February 9 (TASR) - Deputy Prime Minister Dusan Caplovic on Tuesday met with a delegation from the Croatian foreign affairs parliamentary committee to talk about Croatia's EU-integration ambitions, Caplovic's spokesman Michal Kalinak told TASR on the same day.
Caplovic expressed his conviction that Croatia will become an EU member, and also his hope that this will be the case soon.
The Croatian delegation was led by former Croatian foreign affairs minister and current foreign affairs parliamentary committee vice-chair Tonino Picula. According to him, it isn't easy for a country to become an EU member. Croatia has been taking decisions that will contribute towards resolving its national problems, bringing the country closer to the EU27.
Picula and Caplovic agreed that the EU isn't a "melting pot for identities and that every state represents a platform for harmonious relations and the development of the identity of national and ethnic minorities," said Kalinak.
