Poll: Smer Clear at Top, Most-Hid and SaS in Parliament as Well

Bratislava, January 28 (TASR) – According to a FOCUS agency survey carried out on January 13-19, the strongest political party in Slovakia is still the main coalition party Smer-SD, which would have gained 41.4 -percent support if an election had been held in mid-January.
Second place would have gone to the opposition SDKU-DS with 15.2 percent, followed by the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) on 9 percent and LS-HZDS on 6.5 percent.
The 5-percent threshold required to enter Parliament would also have been reached by the coalition Slovak National Party (SNS) on 6.2 percent, the ethnic-Hungarian SMK party on 5.6 percent, and by non-parliamentary parties Most-Hid on 5.2 percent and Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) on 5.1 percent.
Up to 14.8 percent of the respondents said that they wouldn't have voted, while 20.3 percent said that they didn't know how to answer or didn't want to do so.
