U. S. Steel Kosice To Introduce Four-Day Working Week In December

Kosice, November 21 (TASR) - In December, U.S. Steel (USS) Kosice will introduce four-day working week, company spokesman Jan Baca told TASR on Saturday.
"Our employees will obtain 70 percent of their salary for the one day they will stay at home," explained Baca. The management of USS considers this step to be a reasonable solution in the time when a certain revival of the economy can be seen, however the trade with steel is experiencing slump.
This step should concern all the employees with the exception of those manufactures, where the operation is necessary in order to fulfil the clients' commissions.
