Trnava, January 18 (TASR) - PSA Peugeot Citroen Slovakia has made an agreement with the company's union OZ KOVO in which Peugeot promised not to lay off any employees in 2010 and 2011 due to organisational changes, TASR learned from Peugeot Citroen Slovakia spokesman Peter Svec on Monday.
He added that PSA Peugeot employees will enjoy increased salaries as of January. "Besides guaranteed growth of the basic wage of 1.5 percent, a new collective agreement also includes a significant increase in the variable salary portion. The individual and collective bonuses for employees are to be increased by at least 11.8 percent year-on-year due to good work results," said Svec.
In 2006, the French concern opened its production facility in Slovakia and has produced more than 500,000 cars to date.
