Kia Produces Its 500,000th Vehicle in Slovakia - a Kia cee'd sw

Teplicka nad Vahom, January 15 (TASR) - Kia Motors Slovakia (KMS) on Friday presented the 500,000th vehicle manufactured at its factory in Teplicka nad Vahom (Zilina region).
The jubilee Kia cee'd station wagon model has been given as a gift to the Transplant Centre at Martin's faculty hospital. The white Kia cee'd is powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine.
"We've produced more than 500,000 cars and owe this fact to the great efforts of all our employees who go that extra mile. I'm glad that we use production lines with high efficiency and our factory manufactures high-quality automobiles," said KMS President In-Kyu Bae.
Also on Friday, Kia Motors Slovakia launched serial production of the Hyundai ix35. A completely new model, the Kia Sportage, will enter production as of June 2010. In total, Kia plans to manufacture approximately 210,000 cars in 2010.
