Bratislava, January 13 (TASR) - Transport Minister Lubomir Vazny is confident there has been no failing on his part nor on the part of an electronic toll system the ministry installed this year on 2,500 km of roads for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, he said after Opposition parties earlier Wednesday tabled a no-confidence motion in him –citing a host of problems surrounding the toll system.
"I haven't seen the motion yet but I know there is one. It's a legitimate move, in keeping with the parliamentary session rules..." he said following the weekly Government policy meeting.
Lawmakers from SDKU-DS, Christian Democrats (KDH), and SMK have handed in the required 30 signatures to convene a special parliamentary session in which they will seek to pass the no-confidence motion to oust Vazny.
Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Paska (Smer-SD) is required to call the meeting within seven days.
