Caplovic: Danube Stretegy Could Provide Succesful Danube Strategy

Bratislava, January 13 (TASR) - Deputy Premier for a Knowledge-based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities Dusan Caplovic on Wednesday met Government Proxy for the Construction and Operation of the Gabcikovo-Nagymaros Waterworks Gabriel Jencik, Construction and Regional Development Ministry State Secretary Daniel Acs and a representatives of a team working on the so-called Danube Strategy.
According to Caplovic, Slovakia is a part of an ambitious project that is aimed at using the Danube River for economic purposes with respect to the ecological interests of the countries that are linked by the river. Preparations for three prestigious international forums, which will take place in the next months, are in progress, therefore.
Caplovic believes that the Danube Strategy will provide a successful transport alternative to rail and road.
