Slovakia Will Have Another General in NATO-led Operation

Bratislava, January 12 (TASR) - Brigade General Miroslav Kocian will soon be appointed to the post of joint logistics support group commander for KFOR operation in Kosovo, TASR learned from Slovak Armed Forces spokesman Milan Vanga on Tuesday.
With the approval by Chief of General Staff of Slovak Armed Forces Lubomir Bulik, Kocian has been deployed to Kosovo on Tuesday, where he will carry out task within the mission for six months.
"He will be responsible for admissions and deployment of staff, co-ordination vis-a-vis carrying out the tasks and support in logistics," said Vanga.
Kocian is a second Slovak general in the history of Slovak Armed Forces ever deployed to a NATO operation. The first was Brigade General Pavel Macko who was the head of Operations Staff within ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
