Bratislava, December 28 (TASR) - An end to squandering and the introduction of new rules for spending at the Economy Ministry are the main achievements in the way that the ministry functions, Economy Minister Juraj Miskov has said in an interview for TASR.
"What I view as most important is that I've taken over the ministry and stopped wasting in spending and established new rules. Everything was linked to some sort of suppliers who had framework agreements, all kinds of exclusive contracts, etc.," said the minister.
"This all needed to be tidied up. There were all sorts of dirty tricks, such as with MH Invest s.r.o., a company under our remit that paid crazy sums for accounting services and various archaeological surveys," said Miskov.
"Later on, we launched work on the structural priorities that we had set, namely improving conditions for business and making the energy sector and its existing links more transparent," he added.
