Bratislava, December 3 (TASR) - Slovakia wants to see the Egyptian search for little Adam Azab produce some results, Foreign Affairs Minister Mikulas Dzurinda (SDKU-DS) said at Friday's meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Aboul Gheit held in Kazakh capital Astana on the sidelines of OSCE summit.
"We're aware of your efforts but would appreciate to see some results, however," said Dzurinda, asking for the search efforts to be intensified.
"We'll do our utmost to return the boy back to his mother," said Gheit.
Adam Azab, then 2-year-old, was kidnapped in November 2008 by his own father Ahmed during a vacation in Egypt. His Slovak mother Katarina Azab has been searching for her child in vain ever since, despite the Slovak and also Egyptian courts awarding her the custody of the boy. In mid-October, Egyptian police managed to apprehend Ahmed Azab but the man was subsequently released without providing any information on little Adam's whereabouts.
