Bratislava, November 22 (TASR) - Countries belong to the Visegrad Four grouping alongside Slovakia - the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary - are key partners for Slovakia when it comes to energy issues, Prime Minister Iveta Radicova told a conference on energy security in Bratislava on Monday.
"Apart from the V4 countries, this also concerns our other immediate neighbours such as Austria and Ukraine; and then also Romania and Croatia," said Radicova in reference to Slovakia's partners in the sphere.
"We have a joint goal - to ensure that our joint projects are supported at the EU level in political and financial terms alike," said the premier at a conference organised by the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA).
Joint projects aren't only tied to energy security but also to the further liberalisation of energy markets and their linking to other markets across the EU and worldwide, she said.
In addition, Radicova stressed the importance of close co-operation concerning the energy dialogue between the V4 countries and Russia, Ukraine and other current and potential suppliers of energy raw materials.
