UNAS Files Two Complaints Against SkyToll

Bratislava, November 18 (TASR) - The Union of Slovak Road Hauliers (UNAS) on Thursday filed two complaints with Bratislava III District Court against the country's electronic road-toll system provider SkyToll, UNAS chairman Jaroslav Polacek said at a press conference on the same day.

UNAS is unhappy about SkyToll's "unlawful conduct" when collecting tolls in Slovakia. According to Polacek, complaints filed by UNAS so far haven't received any response from courts or the prosecutor's office. At the same time, neither the Government, nor the Transport Ministry have reacted to UNAS's claims.

Shortcomings in the system have been detected by an inspection system installed in 100 lorries that was launched by the hauliers in March. This has shown that SkyToll collects tolls on sections that haven't even been used by lorries, while several other flaws have come to light, said Polacek.
