Bratislava/Soca, November 15 (TASR) - Defence Minister Lubomir Galko (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) along with Interior Minister Daniel Lipsic (Christian Democratic Movement/KDH) ceremoniously unveiled a monument dedicated to all fallen Slovak soldiers who fought at the Soca front [more commonly known as the Isonzo front] in Slovenia on Monday.
"We're the last country to commemorate the soldiers who fought at this front in WWI. I'm glad to say that we managed to pay the historical debt we had towards not only Slovak people and history but also our soldiers, many of which fell abroad during WWI," said Galko, adding that the fighting at the Soca front lasted from 1915-17.
