Employment in Industry Rose in September After Two Years of Falling

Bratislava, November 10 (TASR) - The employment rate in Slovak industry resumed year-on-year growth in September following almost two years of decline, the Statistics Office announced on Wednesday.
The industry-employment figure, which began to drop on annual terms in November 2008, rose by 0.5 percent to 482,387 employees in September.
Meanwhile, the number of those employed in the category of transport and warehouses rose by 0.1 percent to 110,155.
All other sectors experienced falls in employment rates, however, with information and communications technologies suffering the worst decline - by 9.4 percent to 33,083 employees.
