Bravia 3D Television Sets to Be Manufactured by Sony in Nitra

Nitra, December 17 (TASR) - The Japanese electronics maker Sony's Slovak unit on Thursday announced plans to manufacture 3D television sets in Nitra starting next year.
Still tightlipped on the details, corporate managers only revealed that the firm expects 3D television sets to represent around half of its total output by the first quarter of 2013.
The first Bravia 3D television sets are expected to hit the market some time next year, with managers hoping to see demand for the 3D sets strengthen on the fact that next year's world football championship in South Africa will for the first be shot in 3D, and Sony plans to air at least 25 matches.
