Government: Slovakia to Co-operate With Israel on Public Security

Bratislava, October 27 (TASR) - Slovakia and Israel will co-operate on issues pertaining to public security, according to an agreement approved by the Government on Wednesday.
Apart from typical areas such as combating organised crime, the agreement, which was initiated by Israel, covers co-operation vis-a-vis mass public events, and combating human trafficking, drug trafficking, cyber-crime and terrorism. Co-operation will further include the exchange of intelligence concerning public security and the protection of witnesses.
The parties to the agreement are allowed to refuse to co-operate in cases in which their sovereignty, security, national interests and internal legal order may be at stake.
