Bratislava/Vienna, October 23 (TASR) - A representative of the Slovak National Party (SNS) took part in the meeting of right-wing European parties in Vienna on Friday and Saturday, in order to discuss the issue of Turkey's EU accession process and strengthen the co-operation between the parties.
SNS spokesperson Jana Benkova told TASR that SNS chairman Jan Slota was invited to the session by the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO), but he couldn't take part in it due to a different programme. SNS was represented by first its vice-chair Andrej Danko, therefore.
The far-right parties came to the conclusion that Turkey's accession to the European Union should only be approved if it is first okayed by EU citizens in a referendum.
