Analyst: Eastern Slovakia Holds Greatest Potential for Investors

Kosice, October 19 (TASR) - Kosice, Presov and eastern Slovakia as a whole has the best conditions for investors within the whole EU and Eurozone region, Volksbank Slovensko chief analyst Vladimir Vano said at the Kosice Invest 2010 conference on Tuesday.
"Within the market of 90 million people in the eastern EU, Slovakia offers a unique mix of stability, Eurozone membership along with a central location and other advantages characteristic of developing-market countries," stressed Vano.
"The qualified workforce in the oversaturated investment region of western Slovakia has been already tapped out," he said. According to him, the Presov and Kosice regions are unique because they boast sufficient availability of qualified workers that won't become exhausted as soon as the workforce in other regions of the country.
Vano emphasised that Slovakia enjoys record-setting low inflation, the accessibility of banking loans and credits at favourable interest rates. In combination, these arguments put Slovakia ahead of the competition.
