Lanxess Chemicals Achieving Better Results than Before Crisis

Bratislava/Leverkusen, October 11 (TASR) - Multi-national chemical concern Lanxess, which has its headquarters for Central and Eastern Europe in Bratislava, is currently achieving better results than before the economic crisis, TASR learnt on Monday.
The Germany-based company confirmed forecasts for increased earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) in 2010 at €800 million, which is a significant increase compared to 2009 (€465 million) and even 2008 (€722 million).
"We're entering a new era of growth," said Lanxess CEO Axel C. Heitmann, adding that the global concern expects to reach EBITDA at €1.4 billion in 2015.
Lanxess, which also makes rubber and plastics products, employs around 14,500 people in 42 plants in 23 countries around the world.
