Kiev, October 8 (TASR) - Ukraine promises to improve its business environment and reduce corruption along with the period needed to register new companies in the country, said Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Kiev on Friday during talks with his Slovak counterpart Ivan Gasparovic.
"We're currently working on a system to attract investments to Ukraine," stated Yanukovych, who also said that the period required to register new businesses and investments should also be significantly reduced by the end of the year. "As far as the registration of businesses is concerned, we want to create conditions that will ensure that entrepreneurs won't be forced to run between numerous offices, while the offices will set up everything by a set date," explained the Ukrainian president.
According to Slovak Economy Minister Juraj Miskov, Ukraine has an extreme desire to improve the business environment and fight corruption. He thinks that Ukraine is a country of unlimited opportunities. "There's a opportunity to invest in the extraction of mineral resources, metallurgy and engineering. "I think that Slovak companies should look at Ukraine more often," he stated.
