Mihal: Volkswagen Slovakia Can Be Role Model for Investors

Bratislava, October 4 (TASR) - Volkswagen Slovakia company can serve as a role model for foreign investors, Labour, Social Affairs and Family Minister Jozef Mihal (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) Jozef Mihal told TASR on Monday after paying a visit to Volkswagen facility in Bratislava.
Mihal views the company's preparations for extending its production in Slovakia as especially positive news, because it means that an additional 4,000 jobs will be created by 2014 at Volkswagen and another 8,000 at subcontracting companies.
A new model Small Family Up is soon to start production, with the production capacity of Volkswagen Slovakia to increase to 400,000 vehicles per year.
